BSS Engineers are PNC (Police National Computer) checked and security screened. BSS is registered with SSAIB and BAFE, which is recognised by all the leading insurance companies and governing bodies.
All of our staff are uniformed and operate using clearly branded company vehicles, so you can be confident who’s calling.
Bonthrone Security Services was established in 2010 by Ian Bonthrone. Initially starting out on his own, however, within six months a small team was formed and has steadily grown since then, to the business it is today, providing over 600 clients Scotland and nationwide, with a personal service and high-end systems tailored to their individual needs.

We can help make sure that you don’t open your door to people without first knowing who is there. BSS can provide solutions for access control systems, from doors, to electronic gates, to ensure you know who is outside before you allow, or deny access.
Access control, via video / audio control door-entry for single, or multi-occupancy properties ensures that you know who’s coming-and-going. If wiring from point-to-point is not an option, wireless options are available. If the property is remote, we can install GSM sim card based, access panels. These allow you to speak to the visitor and, if appropriate, open the gate / door via your telephone keypad. This means that you can control access from anywhere in the world.

Sentimental items are in many cases irreplaceable, we will do our best to make sure these are kept safe for years to come. Bonthrone Security Services can provide discrete alarm systems, which are easy to use and can be accessed / controlled remotely. We can provide wireless, hard-wired alarm or hybrid systems. Alarms can be stand-alone, or BSS can provide 24 hour monitoring / Emergency Service response.

BSS alarm systems can provide external perimeter protection via external PIR sensors.
